Why do you want to be a Trainer for CommunityEdge?
The North Eastman Regional Economic Development Strategy has a main and foundational goal to increase the human capacity for economic development which includes knowledge, skills, understanding of importance, and number of people / agencies addressing CED. Ensuring that a trainer is available to deliver CED education in our region will provide us with a key resource to help achieve this important goal. The timing is great as more and more our local governments are becoming interested in developing CDC’s, hiring EDO’s and putting more financial resources towards CED.

Why do you want to be a Trainer for CommunityEdge?
I want to be a Community Edge Trainer to help rural community leaders understand what Community Economic Development is, how to “do” CED, and to help them identify appropriate strategies and actions they can take to build their community. Helping communities to identify ways to achieve success, and to identify a path to reach that success is also a reason that I love being involved in this training.
